What is Mobilize?
Anchor’s mission is to make and mobilize faithful disciples of Jesus. Mobilize classes are short, practical sessions that equip you to live the gospel where you live, work, and play. If you can “drop a pin” there, you can live the gospel there—and we’ll help you do it.
Why Mobilize?
Scripture calls every believer to mature thinking and active service (1 Cor. 14:20). Mobilize equips ordinary Christians to be everyday ambassadors - grounded in truth, rich in love, ready for real conversations in a skeptical age. And, while preaching is generally a monologue, Mobilize will create space for dialogue, questions, and clarifying nuances - allowing us to explore vital issues more deeply.
January Mobilize | Confronting Christianity
Dates: Thursday, January 15, 22, 29 (during the Community Group break)
Location: New Song Fellowship Church
865 Woodstock Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23464
Time: 6 to 8 pm
Childcare: Provided
Focus: We’ll track through Rebecca McLaughlin’s Confronting Christianity: 12 Hard Questions for the World’s Largest Religion.
We’ll tackle the questions pressing on our moment right now:
1. How could a loving God allow so much suffering? - Jan. 15th
2. Isn’t Christianity homophobic? - Jan. 22nd
3. How can you say there is only one true faith? - Jan. 29th
These aren’t abstract debates - they’re the questions your friends, coworkers, neighbors, and kids are asking today. The gospel offers answers that are true, beautiful, and livable - and we want you ready to speak with wisdom, courage, and grace.
