Anchor Youth
For Students Ages 11–18
Anchor’s deep desire is to see adolescents become passionate followers of Jesus. To that end, it is our joy to partner with and equip parents to make disciples of their kids and mobilize them to become devoted disciples of Jesus by the power of the gospel and the Spirit. Our Anchor Youth leaders and volunteers lead times of interactive, age-directed Bible study, combined with a variety of activities and plenty of time to just hang out.
Youth meets Sundays for various activities and events ranging from Sunday morning worship & devotionals, serving various outreach ministries within Hampton Roads, and weekend activities and retreats.

- All middle and high school students will meet during the Sunday Service at 10 am in the Miller Studio (location subject to change).
- Sunday, May 5th
- Large group will consist of fun, group games and ice breakers, a time in the Word, and discussion groups.
Combined Boys & Girls Small Group
- Middle and high school boys and girls will meet during the Sunday Service at 10 am at Gather for a time to build relationships and dig into the Word together.
- Sunday, May 19th
- Students will meet in the lobby of the Sandler Center by the box office (near the elevators) at 10 am, walk over to Gather together with leaders for their small group, and then walk back to Sandler at the end of service where parents can pick up their kids in the lobby.
Outdoor Movie Night
- Join us for an outdoor movie night on the lawn at Brook Baptist Church (4397 Wishart Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23455) from 7-10pm on Saturday, May 4th.
- We'll be watching Star Wars! Bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on and bring a friend! Snacks will be provided. RSVP here!
Game Day
- Anchor Youth, join us for a game day on Sunday, April 28th. We'll have a basketball tournament for the boys and a game day for the girls. Basketball will be at Kempsville Meadows Elementary School (736 Edwin Drive) from 2-4pm and game day will be right around the corner at Eric and Lindsay Johnson's (4508 Southleaf Court) home from 2-4pm.
- Let us know if your child will be attending and which event! Sign up here.
- If you're interested in helping out with the basketball tournament (we need a few refs), please let us know.
- Please fill out the activity waiver for your child to participate.
Mother's Day
- Youth will serve refreshments on the plaza after our Mother's Day service on Sunday, May 12th!
